Stranded Marine Animal Rescue Team (S.M.A.R.T.) is the dedicated volunteer response unit for the Mossel Bay coastline. Since 2015, we have worked to rescue, rehabilitate and release injured and stranded marine mammals and seabirds, operating between Gouritsmond and Wilderness in close cooperation with national conservation authorities.
